Crytalline Retinopathy

Systemic disease

  • Primary hereditary hyperoxaluria
  • Cystinosis
  • Secondary oxalosis (due to CRF and hemodialysis)
  • Sjogren-Larsson syndrome

Drug induced

  • Tamoxifen (daily dose > 200 mg)
  • Canthaxanthine
  • Methoxyflurane anesthesia (secondary oxalosis)
  • Ethylene glycol ingestion
  • Oxalate
  • Talc
  • Nitrofurantoin

Ocular

  • Bietti crystalline dystrophy
  • Calcific drusen
  • Gyrate atrophy
  • Retinal telangiectasia
